CAMP DESCRIPTIONS

SESSION I: Little Wild Thyme Friends
For our youngest camper! Using picture books, songs, and poetry for daily inspiration, children will enjoy free natural outdoor play that encourages creativity and fosters imagination. They will have the opportunity to find and learn about local wildlife, meet our resident critters on the farm, explore nature, and get dirty!

SESSION II: Wild Thyme Pioneer
Children will enjoy a deep dive into their imagination as they set up "camp" for the week. Taking inspiration from the beloved Little House on the Prairie books, this experience will give campers the opportunity to sing songs, play games, dance, forage, make food and crafts just like their friends "on the prairie" did!
There will be lots of time for self directed creative play, as well as guided activity time!
*Bonnets and aprons not required, but welcome!
SESSION III: Outdoor Adventurer
Calling all adventure seekers! Those inclined to be fully immersed in the wild--set up camp, build fires, identify plants, learn navigation skills, climb trees, cook over the campfire and more during this week long outdoor experience! Kids will gain confidence and comfort outdoors while having fun with friends old and new!

SESSION IV: Shakespeare in the Open Air
Students will participate in the production of their own theatrical performance of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night's Dream. This will be an intensive week of learning the story of the play, memorizing lines, blocking, designing sets, and planning props and costumes. Just as the title indicates this will be a fully outdoor experience, evoking the drama and winsome essence of nature! A final performance will be held outdoors on
Friday, August 9th at 7PM.
