THE LITTLE RED BARN SUMMER CAMP
A place to wonder, explore, and create.
Welcome to The Little Red Barn Summer Camp! Located in the beautiful hills of Southern Vermont, young campers are able to enjoy a variety of activities that encourage and foster independence, freedom, creativity, exploration, and meaningful connections with one another. Campers will leave with memories and skills to follow them well after they have left camp.
MEET THE DIRECTOR
Jessica O'Connell is the Little Red Barn Camp's founder and director. Jessica received her master's degree in Childhood Education from the College of Saint Rose and earned her bachelor's degree in English Literature from Ithaca College. Her passion for education led her to commit herself to homeschooling her two children. She has continued to hone her teaching skills by offering enrichment classes in various areas of study in the Tri-State and Capital Region. In addition to her love of learning, Jessica is an avid lover of the performing arts and has appeared in productions such as Wizard of Oz, West Side Story, Pirates of Penzance, Camelot, and State Fair. She has also studied voice for a number of years and has performed in both solo and choral settings throughout the years.
In all she does, her main objective is to instill in her students a lifelong love of learning, passion for the creative arts, a fascination with the natural world, and meaningful connections with other members of our community.
